The MetroLINK and CitiBus transit systems are joining together to conduct a Quad Cities transit coordination and consolidation analysis that will assist in providing a roadmap for regional collaboration with the public transit systems.  Improving coordination and consolidation in the Quad Cities will provide more seamless transportation options and make public transit more accessible to thousands of daily riders. 

MetroLINK and CitiBus have already joined together with MetroLINK fielding all customer service calls for the CitiBus system providing better coordination of trip planning services for customers as well as reducing costs.  As the two systems become more integrated, additional planning and analysis is recommended to provide for efficient and effective outcomes. 

MetroLINK is acting as lead on the Quad Cities transit coordination and consolidation analysis contract and performed a public procurement process consistent with FTA rules and regulations.  The City of Davenport will share 50% the cost of the contract with MetroLINK, of which 80% will come from a federal grant.  The City's contribution is estimated at $12,923.30 with funding provided by the Transit Fund.
