First Consideration: Ordinance amending Schedule XIV of Chapter 10.96 entitled “Intersection Traffic Signals” by adding Veterans Memorial Pkwy at Eastern Ave. [Ward 8]
Recommendation:
Adopt the Ordinance.
Background:
Traffic signal warrants have been met at the intersection of Veterans Memorial Pkwy and Eastern Ave. The initial signal installation will be temporary and include wood poles with span wire. Pedestrian signals will be installed to cross the south and east legs of the intersection. These signals will remain in place until after the E 53rd St reconstruction project has been completed and traffic patterns will then be re-evaluated for warrants.
