Resolution approving and authorizing the execution of an agreement between the City of Davenport and the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) that would provide State funding through the City Bridge Construction Program for the West 46th Street Bridge Over Cardinal Creek Replacement project, CIP #21010. [Ward 2]

The purpose of the project is to replace the West 46th Street Bridge over Cardinal Creek. The project will consist of removal and disposal of all existing bridge components and replaced with a new bridge or box culvert.  The Iowa DOT has provided a proposed funding agreement between the Iowa DOT and the City of Davenport.

The project is funded as CIP #21010 in FY 2023 to provide design, right-of-way acquisition, and construction. The City will fund design and this agreement would refund 100% of the construction cost, currently estimated at $315,000, but may be adjusted to a maximum of $500,000 with State approval. City Engineering staff has reviewed the agreement and recommends its approval.
