Background:
On August 6, 2021, an Invitation to Bid was issued and sent to contractors. On August 23, 2021, the Purchasing Division opened and read three (3) bids. See bid tab attached.
This award is subject to the review and approval of the Iowa Department of Transportation. The City of Davenport has received RISE money from the state.
Project work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for the Hillandale Road and Research Parkway Intersection, involving the extension of the westbound Research Parkway left turn lane and installation of traffic signals and other related construction.
Hawkeye Paving Corporation of Davenport has successfully performed this type of work for the City in the past. They were the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
Funding for this project is from CIP #35053 High Volume Street Repair and from the RISE grant from the State of Iowa and the sale of General Obligation Bonds.
